When hurricane Ike hit in 2008, some people I had met and became friends with received serious damage to their home. I had previously done work for them with another company. My friends encouraged me to start my own business so that I could personally do the work for them. It was a big step, but with their support and the support of my family it seemed like the thing to do. It was a tough start but since 2010 we are still at it, and business gets better every year.
